One of Stevens’ latest visits was to Gjoa Haven, Nunavut, which he says should be renamed “Joy” Haven, based on his experience.
Stevens traveled with three classically-trained musicians who taught the students the basics of how to play the fiddle. Together, they handed out 250 harmonicas and 12 violins to plant the seeds for a fiddle program.
